And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
(Lev 6:16)
🌻The principle of the Lord in approaching his altar demanded that part of the offerings made on the grain offering was to be eaten by the Aaron and his sons strictly in the tabernacle.
🌻Unlike the other tribes of Isreal which were given land to grow seed and harvest fruit, God denotes a certain principle of provision to the Priests.
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy (Lev 6: 18)
🌻When the Lord Jesus came to the world, he became a curse taking away the curse that was governing the principle of access. When Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, one of the curses pronounced was that he would toil for his bread with sweat.
🌻In the dispensation of the new convenant, Christ opens up the curtain between the holy of Holies signifying Access for us to the throne of Grace.
For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory (wealth) of the nations like an overflowing stream; (Isaih 66:12)
🌻The principle of accessing the wealth of Nations or the produce of the Land was practiced in the order of the priests. The people were mandated to bring out of their increase the grain (Meat offering) and the Lord demanded that the priests partake of it.
🌻As a matter of principle, for its success, the world is mandated to bring a portion of its produce and toil to God. It is from this connection that a Child of God can partake of the Increase of Nations given that all Christ has made a way for us to the priestly life.
🌻The fact that Christ Jesus has invited us to the throne of Grace qualifies this principle for our benefit if we understand how to partake of it.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4:6)
🌻The preceding portion of this call to approach the throne of Grace is a call to enter his Rest just as the Levites were not involved in the principle of toiling.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. (Heb 4:9 -10)
🌻In the portion in (Lev 6:16) the meat/food offering was to be eaten with the unleavened bread which represents the word of God. In Heb 4, the Spirit talks about the power and ability of the word indicating that the word and its declarations have a special code in unlocking this great promise.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, (Heb 4:12 )
🌻Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (Heb 4:14)
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich (2 Cor 8:9)
Be blessed.
