📯 A generation goes, and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever.
📯The sun rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises.
📯The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns.
📯All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow,there they flow again. (Ecc 1:4-7)
🌻The Earth is constant and in the dimension of men, it will be here till the end of the age.
🌻In Ecclesiastes 4 cycles that surround the earth are mention. The passing of Generations, The movement of the Sun, the circuits of the Winds and the paths of the rivers.
🌻When we understand the realm of the earth it’s easy to have judgement of the times and through knowledge align our generation with the Seasons.
📯1.Generation ( An age)
Every Generation has something that defines them. Either technology or a lifestyle or food.
However all these are influenced by the Powers that be in their generation. These powers (stars) influence the people’s choices, and what they do or not do.
Whether it be political powers, if the decision makers choose war, that generation’s lifetime will be centered around war.
In here we look at the power & influence present at a particular time.
📯2. The Sun ( East to West) - The sun rises from East and sets to the West. This is a definition of Time (Kairos). The Hebrew word for East Yam means ancient indication that the circuit of time Carries ancient truths or facts. Eg.
The period it takes for a woman to give birth is 9 months. Even for the future, this time will be 9 months.
🌻In our portion, he says the Sun hastes(hurries) to go back to the place it started. Ancient truth is always preserved under time.The West represents the Sea (waters). This is the place of counsel & wisdom.
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
(Prov 20:5)
To operate in this realm , one must have understanding just like the sons of Issachar. Understanding takes precedence in this realm.
A wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgement. (Ecc 8:5)
🌻3. The movement of the winds is said to be - To the South and back to the North. The Winds represent Seasons of the earth.
Winds are carriers, they carry clouds of rain from the sea to make it a rainy season or carry destructive locusts. On the Day of Pentecost, a mighty rushing wind was heard from heaven and a new Season of the Holy Spirit began.
🌻The root word for North is hidden. The circuit of the wind is to the South and back to North. So it starts from the North. Seasons unlike times are not necessarily obvious. God usually communicates seasons through his prophets.
🌻The root word meaning for South is desert (drought). The winds flow to the dry places first. These are places of need and hunger and thirst.A man who understands the principle can be used of God to usher in a season.
📯4. The Rivers and the Seas - The root word for river is inheritance or possessions. Rivers indicate how Inheritances and riches flow around. They flow/ fill up the valleys and usually trigger and civilizations around them.
The valleys here represent issues faced by men and the waters fill them up
🌻The seas represent knowledge; ideas, innovations and solutions which then flow around the earth and people need them.
🌻The first named Civilization of men, Egypt was around the River Nile.
Knowledge and wisdom (Sophia) is necessary in this realm.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. (Hab 2:14)
