Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly.(Lev 24:2)
🌻The Lord instructed the High Priest to always keep the light of the Ark of the presence of God continuously burning.
🌻The people were to bring pure oil to ensure continuous supply so that there was always light in the presence of God.
🌻The root word to burn “alah” means: to cause to or to make to excel, get up, grow (over), increase, + perfect, prefer, raise, recover, restore, (make to) rise (up), scale, stir up.
🌻The Lord intended that the oil (being filled of the Holy Spirit) would keep us burning 🔥.
🌻He would cause us to excel, rise up in our low times, restore us, stir us up for his work and much more.
🌻Like in the Parable of the 10 Virgins, the 5 foolish virgins run out of oil when the Bridegroom delayed. It means they could not stay excelling, they could not rise when they fell because they didn’t know how to tend to their lamps!
🌻We ought to learn how to always keep a supply of oil to our lamps and that is being filled with the Holy Spirit continually because there in is our progress and elevation.
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making melody to the Lord in your hearts. ( Eph 5: 18-19)
🌻Paul gives us instructions on how we continually keep our lamps on; by singing of spiritual songs, singing psalms and hymns and singing to the Lord in our hearts.
🌻When we do this, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and we experience and walk in the supernatural!
🌻Just like in the Book of 1 Sam 10, when the Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul, the Bible says he became another man. An ordinary man started prophesying with the prophets.
