Clean & Unclean Animals - Concerning things Permisible & the beneficial

Leviticus 11

This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

_To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten._ (Lev 11:46-47)

🌻Food is one of the indicators of Culture and lifestyle of men. Besides Language and Blood (tribes) food appears too on the ladder of defining People’s Lifestyle.

🌻In Leviticus 11 the Lord instruction concerning the animals eaten would come to signify our choices and lifestyles.

🌻The Lord intended to reveal that there are some lifestyles that may be bad for the Christian regardless of the fact that they look okay.

🌻In Paul’s letter to Corinthians Paul distinctly highlights the law of liberty in that Christ coming has allowed permission to do all things  but not everything will benefit the Christian.

🌻Forexample, it’s not right to eat from the Lord’s table and the table of demons although one won’t be stopped from doing it.

🌻Everything is permitted, but we should always look out for what is beneficial.

🌻You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too.

🌻22 What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is?

🌻23 You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial (1 Cor 10: 21-23)
