There was once a man named Jack who had been entrusted with the stewardship of a large and beautiful garden. The garden was filled with all kinds of plants and flowers, and Jack knew that it was his responsibility to care for it and make sure that it flourished. At first, Jack took his responsibilities very seriously. He spent hours every day tending to the garden, watering the plants, pulling weeds, and pruning back any dead or overgrown branches. He was diligent in his work and made sure that every part of the garden received the care it needed.
But as time went on, Jack began to grow tired of the hard work and the long hours. He started to neglect his duties, skipping days here and there and leaving the garden to fend for itself. As a result, the plants began to wilt and die, and the once beautiful garden was now overgrown and untamed.
Jack knew that he had let his stewardship slip, and he felt guilty and ashamed. He knew that he had been entrusted with something precious and that he had failed in his duties.
Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.(1 cor 4:2)
Determined to turn things around, Jack began to work hard once again to restore the garden to its former glory. He spent long hours tending to the plants, pruning back the overgrowth, and reviving the wilted flowers. Slowly but surely, the garden began to come back to life, and Jack was filled with joy and pride at the transformation he had brought about.
From then on, Jack was a faithful steward of the garden, knowing that he had been entrusted with something special and that it was his responsibility to take care of it. And the garden flourished once again, thanks to Jack's hard work and dedication.
As the scripture says "Take care of your church in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory." (1 Thessalonians 2:12 )
