Appointing Our Days through Speech

2Co 4:13 KJV We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we  also believe, and therefore speak;

There is a distinction in the speech of a man who believes, a man whose words and speech is backed by Faith. By scripture, we learn that a man who hears right, is able to and is allowed to speak continuously.

A false witness will perish, But a man who listens to the truth will speak forever and go unchallenged  (Prob 21:28 AMP).

The basis of our speech and it's preservation ; (how much it will have effect and how long it will last) depends on where we listen from. As in the scripture above, hearing from a place other than faith causes one's speech to perish.

In Prov 21:28, the Hebrew rendering for speaks is to subdue. Simply put, a man who hears right will subdue and appoint his days by how he speaks. It is therefore important to understand that when the Bible says Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, the Spirit of the Lord is telling us to prepare our speech by how we hear.

In 2 Cor 4, Paul expounds further to tell us that before we appoint our days, we must look at the things that are eternal, the unseen things which we hear from the word.This is simply because the things that are seen are/ temporary and will perish soon, just like the words of a false witness.

So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. ( 2 Cor 4:18).

Start to appoint (speak over) your days by the word of God. Declare with scripture that you are a head and not a tail. Declare that you lend to many nations and borrow from none.Declare the Lord's promises over your days, and they will be established. In Jesus name.
